Welcome to the September issue of The Seed's newsletter.
Autumn now seems to have well and truly arrived!
In this issue we will be looking at how you can ensure that you are sending out the right message to prospective clients, it’s not just about issuing a quote for a piece of work to be undertaken – it is letting them know that not only is your price right, but you are the correct company to work with them. You only have a few words to get this message across so make them count.
In our Top Tips we will be following on from last month’s issue and look again at Testimonials and the value they can add to your business.

What's in a message? Make it count. |
Prospects visit TheSeed.com because it offers a quick and easy route to obtain quotes.
But you want to make sure that when your information goes back to the prospect it really counts – it’s not just a price – it’s a message that the reader finds irresistible.
Your message needs to tell your prospect how good your products and services are as opposed to all others out there and why it’s important that they choose you and your business.
So what can you do to make sure that the message you send out is really effective?
Take a look at what you are saying
Sounds strange? But look at the words with fresh eyes and think about what you say and how you say it. Is it the message you really want to communicate.
Test your message
Ask those around you for their point of view in relation to your message. Do they understand what you want to communicate? Would your message make them come back to you to find out more information? Don’t be afraid to ask your existing clients if they understood fully what you could offer in the first instance. With your updated message would they understand more fully what you offer – or even want to buy more of your services?
Focus on what you offer
What are you bringing to a prospect that is going to make a difference? Focus on the benefits of your service above all others in the market place and make your offering really stand out from the crowd.
Call to action
Make your prospects really want to get in touch with you with an offer they simply can't resist. You have taken the time to get the message right so take the time to make your offer irresistible! And whilst this is going to sound extraordinarily obvious – make sure they have all of your details so they can get in touch with you.
Get feedback
If prospects get back to you you’ll know its working. If not, make sure you get feedback so you can continue to make improvements on your message and get great value out of TheSeed.com
Revisit the message
So now you’ve taken the time and energy to make sure what you say is having an impact it doesn’t stop there. You have to continuously make sure you revisit your message to ensure you remain the most prominent supplier in your prospects minds. Remember, all marketing activities are about identifying, anticipating and satisfying customer’s requirements and in the process making a profitable outcome for your business. Blow that trumpet
As discussed in our August newsletter, there is nothing that sells your products or services better than a testimonial from someone who has had the pleasure of doing business with you.
Within the customer profile section of TheSeed.com, there is the opportunity to complete a testimonials section, we strongly recommend that you add information to this – especially if you have got clients that you have received via TheSeed.com because testimonials from them will add kudos to you as a company and show that other enquirers who have used TheSeed.com have chosen you.
If this is the first time that a prospective client has searched for a supplier via an on-line tool like TheSeed.com they will probably be pretty unsure as to what is going to happen. Seeing in black and white that someone has undertaken the same process and been happy with the outcome of your service or product will ensure that they are willing to take that testimonial in good faith and take you on as a supplier.
More often than not customers are more than happy to write you a testimonial, highlighting the good work that you have undertaken - make the most of this and blow that trumpet!

We will be moving to new premises and have O&M manuals from the last five years which we need stored on disc.

I talked to Kirsten and she told me that they are moving offices at the end of the year.
She has not set herself a budget as she has no idea about the costs and she has not had any other quotes. She is the best person to talk to and be contacted on the number provided between the hours of 9am to 5pm.
They have done around 100 jobs over the last 5 years and for each job they have 13 volumes of documents, with each volume holding a high number of documents.
They would like all the documents transferring on to disc so that they are easily searchable.

We have launched a new franchise opportunity and are unhappy with the service with our current PR agency. We are b2b and would need an agency that is going to get excited talking about bookkeeping and financial management. We have an excellent creative agency and a great web development company, PR only.

I talked to Alex and he told me that he is looking for a PR company that would have experience and ability in his companies area of business.
He would like a company to enter his launch with a creative angle and a hands on approach that would handle every PR aspect of the launch and continue with the company over a period of time.
He has had some other quotes and he has allocated a budget however he will not disclose any more information regarding these aspects.
He is the best person to talk to and can be contacted on the number provided after 6pm preferably however he can be contacted throughout the day. His old PR company have let him down at a crucial time by not focusing more on Alex's company.
He is looking for national coverage.
