  The Seed News

Earn £1,000 from your existing network!

As you may have read in the June edition of our Newsletter we recently purchased a new purpose built building in Burntwood, Staffordshire and moved in to one of the offices.

It is a modern, high-quality, self-contained office building on an established business park which is newly-constructed and has high-specification fittings throughout. It also benefits from an excellent location with easy access to the M6 Toll.

Part of this building is still available to let and if any of your contacts, or indeed you take out a lease on this office we will pay the following referral fees:

3070 sq. ft. suite - £1000
1535 sq. ft. suite - £500

The office itself provides high-quality office accommodation of 3070 sq. ft. set over 2 floors. It is available to let as one unit or each floor of 1535 sq. ft. can be let individually. Flexible lease terms are available.

For full details including photos, video and prices please visit: http://www.spearhouse.co.uk

If this is something that would be of interest to your business or you know of another company that is looking to re-locate please contact Keir McConomy on 07917 021 017. This could be a great way of you earning a substantial referral fee for just a few minutes work!

  Marketing Matters...

Producing your own ezine.
Did you know that you could lose up to 68% of your business over the next 12 months simply by not following up your prospects and existing customers such as the ones you get from TheSeed.com?

Now, you have to agree that this is a staggering statistic. So, given that we at TheSeed.com are working hard to ensure that you get as many viable prospects as possible, how can you make sure you continue to be front of mind for them, not just when you first contact them but throughout the following days and months?

Producing your own ezine is one way of maintaining regular contact with prospective and existing customers so that when they do have a requirement you are the first company that they think of. These can be made as interesting and as special as you want them to be. You can design one or several dependent on your target audience and the products/services that you offer.

The outcome of this communication can be quite simple:

  • Your ezine will create more visitors to your business and your website
  • Visitors become buyers
  • Buyers become clients/customers and purchase many times from you as well as telling other people about your great services/products
Why do ezines work so well?

An ezine is an Electronic Magazine which is delivered to people who ask for it (subscribers) via email. You can send this so it fits to your schedule… daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or just occasionally.

But what’s really important is that ezines have nothing to do with spam or unsolicited email! Your subscribers actually want to receive ezines and respond to the information placed within the ones they receive. The reason that ezines work so well is that they are delivered to a very targeted group of people, businesses that are actually interested in what you have to offer and this is very good news for you.

As you become more skilled at targeting your message, when the ezine gets in front of motivated and interested readers, you will find that responses happen very quickly… and all of a sudden you have your very own pool of highly qualified leads that are eager to know more about what you can offer and how your business can help them. This is the key to succeeding with your ezine strategy.

Also with ezines, as you probably do yourself, if you have no requirement for that particular product or service at that moment in time it gets filed in your inbox under ‘other suppliers’ or some such folder and businesses actually keep the information that you send to them and can come back to it when they do have a need.

This is an ideal way to keep in touch with your Seed.com customers, keeping them interested in your business and what you have to offer. Stand out from the crowd and make your ezine really work for you.

If 'opt-in' email marketing isn't part of your promotional mix - I wonder what is holding you back?

    Top Tips

Tailored to suit?

With this being our last newsletter before business ceases for the Christmas period we would like to remind you to ensure that your Seed.com accounts are topped up before you head out of the office on Christmas Eve! Although most businesses shut for some time over the festive season there are still companies out there that will be looking for business services/products and we would hate for you to miss out on these valuable leads because of lack of funds. You could even refresh your profiles geared towards the start of a new year and if applicable a 'January Sale'.

Translation Services
Wednesday 14th of November 2007 17.46
Need documents and website translated from English into French. What is the word rate in GBP? i.e how many pence per word?

Additional notes from TheSeed.com:
Spoke to Rodney who advised that he believes there will be between 7,000 to 10,000 words to be translated on the Website alone. He has some experience of writing/translating website content and as such advised that although the content will be about legal and financial services it is not a contract or need to be correct for legal reasons, it is simply marketing content so should not require any additional surcharges. He also stated that he does not want the translation done by Software because it is never as good as manually translated content (and the site will be reviewed manually by people whose native tongue is French). Rodney has meetings for the rest of the day so may not answer his phone immediately but he will return calls if required. He suggested that email would be the preferable form of contact.

I need 4 appointments booking per day for small business' to have their electrical appliances tested for safety. Appointments are to have the work carried out and payment made on the day. It is a low cost service at £79 for the first 30 items then 75p per extra item. This is an easy service to sell as all business must comply with electrical health and safety at work legislation. Bookings are to be made only in Yorkshire at this time but will need to cover other counties in the near future. I will also require bookings to increase to a min of 8 per day within 2-3 months.

Additional notes from TheSeed.com:
