Telemarketing

Message :

I would like to trial out- sourcing a telemarketing person/ team. It would involve outbound calls only involving some direct sales, but mainly account management. I’d like to trial this on about 1,300 accounts over a 3 month period.

Please could you send me some information about whether this something you could help with, how it might work and an approximate costing?

I talked to Prys (Pronounced Pr-ee-z) and he gave me some more information regarding his enquiry.
He told me that he is looking to have this under way in around one months time.
He has already had a quote for £180 per day, however is looking for a variety of the best price for the best hours worked.

He is the best person to talk to and can be contacted on the number provided at any time.
Prys is looking to have a telemarketing company act as account management and complex problems be forwarded on to themselves to deal with, but on a general basis follow up on clients.

Email address confirmed.

Public Relations

Message :

We are searching for a PR company to help us reach our target audience who are primarily the parents, grandparents of primary school children in the UK but in particular England initially.

We will be offering a web based product that, like iTunes, can be downloaded and that will enable any parent or grandparent to be able to help any child with any aspect of the primary school's National Curriculum in a way that doesn't require any knowledge from the adult and that has been 4 years in the researching, developing and making.

Our secondary markets are the primary schools and the teachers within. The success of this venture will largely depend on our ability to access, reach, excite and motivate our primary market both initially but also continuously over a protracted period of time. The product is very media friendly (we have generated TV, Radio and print coverage), family focused and child centric and we are seeking the right relationship with the right PR company to help us achieve our goal of actively and regularly engaging with over 25% of this audience and being known by 75% of it.

I talked to James and he gave me some more information regarding his enquiry. He told me that he is looking to launch the PR campaign at the end of the calendar year. He has not had any other quotations at present and has not allocated a budget as of yet as he has no idea of the costs involved. He is the best person to talk to and can be contacted on the number provided at any time, however for alternative contact details please see *website removed*

He feels that this will be an ongoing project and at present it will be aimed at England however will be relevant to UK nationwide.

Message :

I am writing to you to seek a quotation for a focus group project.

The IndDem (Independence and Democracy Group) is one of the political groups in the European Parliament. It consists of MEPs of different nationalities who hold a Eurosceptic view. They are opposed to EU centralisation and support the wide use of referendums.

Attached are details of the proposal. If you feel able to provide this service we would be interested in receiving a quotation. Please also feel free to email me if you need any further information.

We are seeking quotations by 14 March.

Many thanks

Piers Merchant
Consultant to IndDem Group

Independence and Democracy Group, European Parliament

PROJECT PROPOSAL

Our proposal is to hold three focus groups, or three pairs of focus groups – one in the South East, one in the South West and one in East Anglia. We would like to see contacted a total of about 800 people who would then be screened into broad categories so that we could select focus groups from them.

The final focus groups would be properly balanced in terms of age, sex, social background and location .

The focus groups would not be balanced in terms of their basic view of the EU. We want the groups to consist entirely of people who are Euro-sceptic – that is to say either in favour of British withdrawal from the EU or in favour of reducing EU powers. The groups should consist roughly of 50% people in favour of withdrawal and 50% in favour of reduction of EU power.

The large initial pool is designed to achieve those criteria.

We are prepared to follow advice on whether to hold one or two groups per region and that would be dependent on the optimum size for the groups.

Once we have our groups we would measure their views on a range of EU issues but in particular test their response to a selection of simple statements about the EU, Britain’s place in it and EU-related policies. We would envisage producing some of these statements in terms of literature, leaflets or posters.

Previous research has shown that on the EU most people seem to hold the views they do for fairly simplistic reasons, rather than based on deep knowledge or a complex assessment of the arguments. This research will show to what extent that is true and what “triggers” influence their views.

The focus groups reactions to different brief statements would be accurately measured and then assessed in more detailed in the ensuing discussion. The final stage would be to analyse and prepare a report detailing the findings.

I talked to Piers and he gave me some more information regarding his enquiry. He told me that he is located in Devon and is looking to receive all quotations by 14th March. They will then have to be submitted to the board who will approve the quotations and then Piers and his colleagues will be looking to move forward on this project ASAP, they estimate no more than a couple of weeks. They have not had any other quotations and have stated that they have an open budget at present however cost will be an important factor. He is the best person to talk to and can be contacted on the number provided at any time, if he is not available, please leave a message and he will contact back as soon as he is available to do so. He has included most of the information needed in his original enquiry, however had added that they will be able to supply most of the material needed to hold the focus group discussions.
